		<description>HI:

after speaking to a friend in Short Hills(where I also live) about finding a gynecologist for her teen daughter and hearing about recommendations at your site I thought I could add some useful info. I am one of a handful of adolescent medicine providers in the state of NJ- there are only about 400 in the country. I am not in private practice as I am a salaried employee so I have no financial gain from telling you this- we have an adolescent medicine service at both Overlook and Morristown Memorial Hospital as well as an eating disorders program that provide services from adolescents from age 11-21. In addition to taking care of patients with eating disorders we provide full gyn care for teens- birth control, PAP smears,STD treatment problems with periods like cramps, infrequent periods, etc. Our approach as specially trained pediatricians is often a bit different than that of an adult gyn. Also all of our new patients have an hour long visit and follow-ups are always scheduled for 30 minutes so there is enough time to talk and answer all questions. We do not do primary care but will see any adolesencent for evaluation of any type of problem.

hope this helps the families of our commuity.
