Being a real estate agent in the township of Millburn/Short Hills is rewarding, because I know that I am bringing new homeowners into a town that they will be very happy to reside in. Millburn/Short Hills is unique because it really puts an effort into improving the future of the town and the community.
The Millburn/Short Hills Chapter House of the American Red Cross offers a Health and Safety Mini Camp for its youth. The Health and Safety Mini Camp took place Monday, August 4th through Wednesday, August 6th, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The camp was held at the Chapter House, located at 389 Millburn Avenue. This mini camp was open to all residents over the age of 11-years.
At Mini Camp, students had the opportunity to experience a brand new Babysitter Program sponsored by the American Red Cross, that teaches valuable lessons in infant and child CPR and proper first aid procedures. All participants received a CD that will teach them vital facts that every good babysitter should know, such as age appropriate activities for the children that they will be caring for. After participants successfully completed the program, they were awarded a certificate for Babysitters Training, First-Aid, and Infant and Child CPR.
This type of training will surely benefit the community in the present and future. Residents and new homeowners in the Millburn/Short Hills area will be happy to know that the town is not only providing a fun and educational experience for their youth, but they are also provided with reliable, responsible babysitters when they need them. It’s a win-win for everyone.
