The township of Millburn/Short Hills attracts many potential new home owners every year. Even in these times of economic hardship, potential new home owners are interested in investing in real estate in this beautiful area because it is a township that is constantly looking to improve every aspect of itself. One way the township does this is through the Millburn/Short Hills Township Beautification League.
The league works in tandem with the local government and other organizations, such as the Shade Tree Advisory Board, the Downtown Millburn Development Alliance, local garden clubs and other community groups that have an interest in beautifying the township, in order to develop and maintain beautification projects. As one of their many efforts to encourage community participation, the group is inviting volunteers to come out on Saturday, May 16 to help plant nearly 50 planters with flowering annuals. Like in years past, these planters will be located throughout commercial areas so that everyone may enjoy them. Throughout their years of service to the community, volunteers in the Millburn/Short Hills Township Beautification League have participated in a variety of projects. They’ve placed plants on various township streets, maintained flower beds on more than 35 traffic islands throughout the community and put in five new planter islands. Additionally, they’ve created mini parks on Brookside Drive, Lackawanna Place, Woodland Road and the Short Hills green. On top of their floral contributions, the Beautification League also purchased 12 new holiday snowflakes to be positioned along commercial streets during the holiday season.
Potential new home owners want to invest in real estate in a township that adapts, so that as they grow as home owners their township will continue to suit them. The Millburn/Short Hills Township Beautification League is one of the many organizations in the township of Millburn/Short Hills dedicated to helping the township to achieve all that it can.
