The township of Millburn/Short Hills is frequented by potential new home owners interested in investing in real estate. Surrounded by other property hotspots such as Madison, Maplewood, Chatham Township, Chatham Borough, South Orange and Summit, it is no coincidence that the township of Millburn/Short Hills remains so appealing. Perhaps part of this warm township’s popularity has to do with its exceptional residents, like Margie Campbell.
Campbell was recently honored by Habitat for Humanity Newark http://www.habitatnewark.org at their second annual Raising Roofs Gala. The Gala took place on Thursday, May 28 at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in West Orange, New Jersey. A member of the Carpenters Club, a group of volunteer homebuilders who meet on Wednesdays, Campbell works on Habitat for Humanity homes for low income families. Many consider the Carpenter Club to be an integral part of Habitat for Humanity Newark. Its members come from many areas and have considerable expertise in construction which is invaluable to the organization. Campbell and other Carpenter Club members received the Volunteer of the Year award at the Gala which raised funds for future projects. Campbell has been a resident of the township of Millburn/Short Hills for the past 5 years and has been volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Newark for the past year.
Residents like Campbell, who devote their time and skill to helping others, are what make the township of Millburn/Short Hills a special and desirable place to live.
