The township of Millburn/Short Hills is a very popular location. Potential new homeowners are chomping at the bit to invest in real estate in this illustrious, attractive area. Potential new homeowners understand that when they invest in a house, they also invest in a hometown. Just as one might want fancy new appliances, spacious rooms and classic architecture in their houses, there are certain special features that also make a hometown more desirable. In the case of the township of Millburn/Short Hills, community is just as valuable as kitchen countertop space.

Members of the Millburn/Short Hills community like to take care of each other.
On Thursday, July 29 they offered a free program called “Improving the Recovery
Process and Quality of Life for Cancer Patients” at the Millburn Free Public Library, to help care for people in the community whose lives have been impacted by cancer. A panel of resident experts including exercise specialist Carol Michaels, nurse practitioner and breast health educator Cheryl Chapman, and yoga instructor Debby Kaminsky led a discussion about how to manage the uncomfortable side effects of cancer treatments. The panel addressed both physical and emotional complications that can result from cancer surgeries and alternative treatments. Those in attendance discovered that cancer survivors could forgo their stiff muscles, exhaustion and uncomfortable postures. They were educated about appropriate exercises for various types of reconstruction as well as flexibility training, balance, posture and lymphedema in addition to the stress and concurrent issues that a cancer diagnosis creates.

Potential homeowners, if you were concerned that you’d have to trade shiny appliances and luxurious amenities for a hometown community, fear not! The township of Millburn/Short Hills offers all of this and more. Properties continue to fly off the market because no one can deny the appeal of the township of Millburn/Short Hills.
