It is given to an individual who has demonstrated their personal commitment of time and money to help find a cure for cancer. Maurer is the Director of Leasing for Eastman Companies. He is a Certified Public Accountant in New Jersey and graduated Lehigh University. The Robert J. The township of Millburn/Short Hills is an exceptionally special, respectful and caring place. Potential new homeowners would be truly lucky to join a community like the one in the township of Millburn/Short Hills. There are a lot of factors to consider when investing in a home. What people may fail to realize is that in addition to the edifice they are putting their money into, the surrounding community can be just as, if not more important than where you lay your head to sleep at night.

The township of Millburn/Short Hills goes above and beyond the call of duty in ways that other townships may not even consider. Last month, the Millburn Police Department underwent a special training session at the Short Hills Mall. In the session, they were educated about the best ways to approach individuals on the autistic spectrum. Individuals on the spectrum often become disorganized when exposed to sensory stimuli such as sirens and flashing lights—stimuli that can easily be present in an emergency. These individuals require understanding from those around them, but if one has not been educated about what to expect from an individual on the spectrum or how to best approach them, this can lead to unnecessary complications and unpleasantness. The
Millburn Police Department is now briefed on recognizing, understanding and working effectively with people on the spectrum. This type of awareness will not only be useful in emergency situations, but can help the entire community to understand those with differences, creating more opportunities down the road.

The effort made by the Millburn Police Department to understand people who may be different from them is admirable. Potential new homeowners would indeed be fortunate to become part of such a caring, responsible and respectful community.

NJ Monthly Magazine recently released its bi-annual school report, and there are several notable changes.

New Providence moved from 15 to #4 – a big leap, and puts this underestimated town among the ranks of the best schools in the state.

Cranford, another Union county town, which has played second fiddle to Westfield for years, has risen above Westfield (#41) to the 13th spot on the list. Doubt the residents think that’s an unlucky number this year!

Madison, always a favorite commuter town jumped from #35 to 15.

Columbia High School, which serves the joint school system of Maplewood/South Orange, rose from #89 to #75, a 16% jump up the ranks.

Aside from Madison, these towns represent much better real estate values than some of their neighbors. This latest list once again proves the benefit of living in New Jersey and helps account for the value of New Jersey real estate.

Here’s a link to the NJ Monthly website, NJ Monthly Website where all the towns are ranked.
