One such opportunity is coming up soon. At 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, Dr. Margaret Brisco will be reading excerpts from her short story collections, “Women in Transition” and “Metamorphoses”. This Italian author will be reading these stories, described as “snapshots in women’s lives”, at the Millburn Free Public Library. Dr. Brisco practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology in Northern New Jersey for 35 years. Dr. Brisco is considered a pioneer for practicing during a time when relatively few women became physicians and even less specialized in surgery.
