The township of Millburn/Short Hills is a wonderful place to invest in real estate. Part of why potential new homeowners can recognize the value of being a property owner in the township of Millburn/Short Hills is because they know that the surrounding areas are also wonderful places which offer opportunities for growth and learning for themselves and their children. One opportunity that children in the township of Millburn/Short Hills have to take advantage of is the chance to participate in the Summit Symphony’s Young Artist Competition.
This year, the Summit Symphony’s 2010 Young Artist Competition honored four students who were featured at a concert on May 16th at Summit High School. This years winners were Sunny Chang of Millburn, Kevin Jang of Edison, Dawn Wang of North Haledon and honorable mention went to Kevin Lin of Tenafly. Chang is completing her freshman year at Millburn High School, and studies cello under Alan Stepansky. She performed the first movement of the Dvorak Concerto for Cello in b minor at the concert. Funding for this event was generously donated in part by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts Department of State, which is a partner agency of the National Endowment for the Arts, via a grant from the Union County Division of Cultural and Heritage Affairs.
